Skipping posts about Monday and Tuesday (don't have enough time before class), but I got my family yesterday!!! There are 6 people in my family.
Dad (Abdulhamid) - He appears to be over 60 years old. He is deaf, but can speak French and Arabic. Super nice, but it's hilarious the way he runs around the house just kinda doing whatever he wants
Mom (Fatima) - She's in like her early 50's. She is also very nice and speaks both French and Arabic. She has renamed me "SahebH" which means "Happy" (spelling not accurate because Dirija, Moroccan Arabic, is not a written language. The last letter, H, is a sound made with an open larynx which, in American terms, is made by doing a quick exhalation of air like you ate something that was too hot). She's nice and does her best to communicate with me.
Older Brother - Lotfi - 21 years old - He resembles a Moroccan Taylor Lautner. He speaks great English, Dirija, Modern Standard Arabic, French, and a little Spanish. He is in tourism school because he wants to work as a tour guide or in a hotel. Super nice guy
Younger Brother - Driss - 17 years old - He's in high school. He's good at English, not as good as Lotfi though, and speaks all the same languages too. He plays on the city's basketball team and is cool. He's sort of in charge of showing me around because his school schedule is similar to mine, where as Lotfi doesn't get home till 6 or 7 and doesn't go home for lunch. He's going to take me to get a hair cut soon and to the hamams (bathhouses)
Grandma - She's old
Other woman - there's another woman that lives with them who is in her 30's. She is the mom's friend and in charge of like all the household duties like cleaning. She's nice.
The house is an apartment in the Ziat area of the Medina. I have my own room which has two beds, a dresser, a tv, and a dvd player. The bathroom has a western toilet and a western shower, both of which are pluses. I'm also very close to Marissa and to Alice and Elle, and a 7 minute walk from where the taxis pick us up to go to school. I'm really excited to live with my family and am expecting it to be a good 8 weeks!

This would be a good setting for a sitcom...
